"His Excellency tin Governor-General has been asked by His Majesty's Government to convey, to the school children oi £ew Zealand the thanks of tho, fighting forces of tho British Empire and of tho Allied nations for their message on the occasion of the signing of the armistice between the Allied Powers and Germany, and to assure the sclioql children that the-sentiments to which they have given expression are much appreciThis advice is by way of reply to the following message sent on behalf of the echoor children of New Zealand in November last through His Excellency, as follows!— ; "My Priiho Minister has asked me to transmit to you the following message frtfin' the school children of New Zealand on-the occasion of-signing of armistice bv Germans':-' „ '"To"-'all tho'Empire s fighting forces and to i those of our Allic.s tha school children of New Zealand wish to express their feelings of admiration and gratitude for the glorious victory for justice and. freedom which has bsen now finally von.
