RECOMMENDATION BEG AT! DING PENSIONS. Upon the recommendation of the Charitable Aid Committee the following resolution carried by the Otago Hospital and Charitable Aid Board respecting tho provision of pensions for widows wafl unanimously -.idopted by the Wellington JfospitaL and Charitable Aid Board at its meeting yesterday I "That the Hon. Minister of Public Health, the Hon.' Minister of Education, the Hon. Minister of Pensions, anil all hospital and charitable aid boords be writton to directing their attention to the difference between the ordinary widow's pension and the proposed influenza widow's pension. and asking their earnest consideration and support of the suggestion that at tho next sitting of Parliament the Act be amended to bring both into line, by, soy, doubling the present ordinary widow's pension, including war bonus, or granting such sum as tho Houso may (ieem sufficient for a widow to bring up her familv without applying to a hospital and charitable aid board to supplement the same."
