Colonel House, in an interview, said he thought that the preliminary Peace Treaty might bo ready on Saturday week. The German delegates would be here three weeks hence.

A Commission of five members will visit Syria to obtain an idea of the people's desires as regards the mandatory. A Committee lius been appointed to deal with German shipping. It will have its headquarters*at Rotterdam, not Hamburg. The Economic Commission will faw great difficulty in drawing up the list of goods which Germany may not export.
