ENTERTAINMENTS
ANTONIA DOLOKES CONCERTS. The second of the return and farewell concerts by Mdlle. Antonia Dolores, the famous French soprano, will bo given in the Grand Opera llousd this evening, commencing at 8.15 o'clock. Another delightful programme has been prepared. Mdlle. Dolores will sing, among other items, the recitative "Guothor Malde" and the aria "Caro Xome,' from Verdi's. "Iligoletto"; the nir "Divimtes. duStyx" ("Orpheo aux Enters"), by Glnck; two items by Scarlatti, "Le Violette" and "Qual -Tarfalletta; , ("I Attempt" and "Nymphs"), and Shepherds," by Purcell; "Solveig hong , and "The Swan," by Grieg, and other items. The assisting vocalist will again he Mr. John Proiise, baritone, who will, be heard in three items, whilo the pianist is Mr, Harold Smith, who, in addition to hi.s able accompaniments, is heard in eolos. The box plan is at the Bristol and day sale tickets at Ned Perry s. llie third and last concert of the season will be given to-morrow evening. Concessions are allowed to students and schools for these two farewell concerts.
EVERYBODY'S THEATKE. At Everybody's Theatre this week an excellent programme is being prescntetf. The feature is a- World drama entitled "To Him That Hath," starring Montague Love. It tells the story of two great sacrifices, the one made by a man, ihe other by a woman. The characterisation of one of them is vivid in the extreme and compelling in its appeal; that of tho other always subdued but pleasing. Iho story works up to a stirring dramatic climax. Episode five of "The House of Hate" and other items support the feature, KING'S THEATRE. Clara Kiroball Young is the reigning queen at the King's Theatre this week. She appears as the star in a. Select feature entitled "Tho House of Glass." This popular star skilfully handles tho leading part—the young woman who marries and is afraid to tell her husband that she is an escaped' convict. Miss Young brings to the front all the pathos in the timid littlo person's experience. The third episode of "The Scarlet. Runner," featuring Earl Williams, "Dimples and Dangers," Australian wild animals, and the latest Gazette are the supports. An added attraction is tho singing of Miss Peggy Smart. EMPRESS THEATRE. ' Richly-designed dresses are a feature of the Vitagraph drama, "Tangled Lives," now screening at the Empress Theatre. The star parts are played by Harry Morey as the husband, Betty Blythe as the faithless wife, and Jean Paige as the girl who truly loved the wronged man. Tho excellent supporting programme includes a film taken of St. Patrick's Day sports.
