Sister M. A. Mnir, of Oaomii, left for New Plymouth last week after having been away 611 active service for the past two years. This made the third occasion on which Sister Jtttir has been away with the forces.

After, going through tho Somme battle, as volunteers for the Air Force were called for; he offered his services nnd passed the test. He was trained in Grantham and. Reading, and qualified as an expert aerial gumier, and. was one of tho two Now Zealand officers selected for special oversea duties, and later was promoted tethe rank of raplniii and posted to the BOth AViug of the British Air Force, France. During .the three years on active service ho never had a day's sickness.
