BRITONS OR BRITISHERS? Sir,—The following letter, which appeared recently ir. the "Saturday Uevicw," expresses ko clearly and shortly what many of us have been thinking that I ask you to be good enough to punt it:— Grateful as we are to the Americans for tho part they have played in the war, we need not surely adopt bad worde of theirs in place of good words of our own. ] see "Britisher" flourishing all over the English .Press, but not, I am gliid to note, in the "Saturday Review." Are wo to say or sing henceforth that "Britishers never shall be slaves"? What is the matter with the good old word "Briton" ? I ain, etc., ■ H.J.B.
