At the annual meeting of Nelson Brothers tho chairman announced the sale 01 the Nev Zealand freezing works and tho sale of tho whole organisation ot the Colonial Consignment and Distributing Company. The reason for the disposal was tho double income tax and the British excess profits tax. It is' understood thai the business in future wil.not be directed froitt Eiigland.-Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn f Kelson Brothers, Ltd., was registered in London in. 1883 as importers of frozen meat. The company holds a preponderating interest in the Colonial Consignment and Distributing Company. Besides owning freezing works in Hawke.s Bay,' the company has large estates • at Tomoano. and Gisborne.]
