MATCHES AT THE BASIN RESERVE IMPERIAL SUPPLIES DEFEAT PJIBLIC TRUST Two cricket matches were played on theßasin Reserve yesterday. A tenin roprcsonling tho Imperial Supplies Department met an eleven from the Public Trust Office- tuid defeated Uwm by 137 thus ou tho first innings. Batting for Imperial Supplies, Allnrdyco made tho excellent score of 158, not cut. Indeed, had it not been for his efforts, Public Trust would have probably 'had -the best of the mulch. In their first innings, Public Trust put up a score of 100, J. Dwyer (29), Smith (27), nnd P. Dwyer (12), being tho best run-producers. Dunlop did deadly work with (he ball, taking nine wickets for 37 runs. Public Trust followed on with (heir second innings', mid 'had jnndo 203 runs for eight, wickets when stumps were drawn. Wilson knocked up 74, not out. Smith 39, and Woods 37. Good was Imperial Supplies' best bowler, mul took four wickets for 32 runs. Levin and Co. beat an eleven representing the Wool Valuers and Brokers by 12 runs. Each side played only ono innings. Valuers and Brokers went in first, and,scored 164 runs, A. Clark ('l3) andi ,1. Two teams, senior aud. junior,, from Christchurch, were engaged yesterday in matches against representatives from tho Wellington Boys' Cricket League at Kelburn Park. In the senior'match AVelliugton went to the wickets first, and mode 182 runs, and Christchurch responded with 78. This was on .Saturday. In their .second innings yesterday the Wellington' lads scored 167, th.s principal scorers being Greig 65, Smith 23, Ban- 20, and Fnber 13. Christchurch began the second innings with a handicap of 271, and it was early seen that the task was a hopeless one for the southern players, for nine wickets quickly went down for 87, of which Stobnrt made 11 and Shereff 27. The last wicket proved very stubborn, nnd delied tho efforts of several bowlers. Mahoney and Watson were the two men who punished tno bowling, and the former was naught when the score stood at 1(16. Wellington thus winning the game by 10. r ) runs. Mahoney made 39 and Watson 10 not out.

The junior frame was drawn. In tbo first innings Wellington made 210, and Cliristchureh responded with 174.
