At the mass meeting of miners yesterday, addressed by Mr. Giles (Conciliation Commissioner), no resolution was ringed except one of thanks, to Mr. Giles for hip. efforts to secure an amicable settlement. 'Hie eight men involved aro again to be interviewed by Mr. Giles with a view to inducing them to join the union, the meeting leaving the matter in his hands.
