THE PIGNIC SEASON
The Soldiers' Financial Assistance Board was favoured • with perfect weather conditions for its picnic held at Day's Bay. A very enjoyable outing was spent by the members and ex-members, about one hundred being present. ' Mr. C. \\. Chilman and Mr. A. S. Mitchell, members of the board, were present, and acted as starter and liandicapper respectively. The sports resulted as follow.— : Married Women's Race—Mrs. Lee, 1; Mrs. Sinclair, 2; Mrs. Eeid; 3. Married Men's Race—S. J. Wills, 1; G. P. Brown, 2; E. A. Richards, 3. Single Women's Race.—H. N. Chivers, 1; H. Hawkey, 2; E. Misracki, 3. Single Men's Race—W. C. Nichols, 1; J. Keith, 2;'iJ. Burtton, 3. Sack Race (Men's).—E. J. Gunman, 1; S. J. Wills, 2; W. C. Nichols, 3. Sack Race (Women's).—H. Hawkey,-1; Mrs. H. Coleman, 2; Miss CoraEaston, 3.< Elopement Race.-Mr. J. Feeney and Miss H.
