THE PIGNIC SEASON

The Soldiers' Financial Assistance Board was favoured • with perfect weather conditions for its picnic held at Day's Bay. A very enjoyable outing was spent by the members and ex-members, about one hundred being present. ' Mr. C. \\. Chilman and Mr. A. S. Mitchell, members of the board, were present, and acted as starter and liandicapper respectively. The sports resulted as follow.— : Married Women's Race—Mrs. Lee, 1; Mrs. Sinclair, 2; Mrs. Eeid; 3.
