FIVE-YEAR, CONTRACT TO COST TWENTY MILLIONS. 1 London, March 11. The Channel Tunnel scheme under consideration provides for two tubes thirty miles long, costing .-£20,000,000. The construction would occupy fivd years. The commission in Paris is also considering tunnels at Constantinople and Gibraltar, "iving direct communication to Europe, Asia, and Africa.
