WHAT IT'MEANS IN OUTPUT. London, March 11. Sir Richard Eedmayne, Chief Inspector of Mines, estimated thnt the granting of a six-hours' day would result in a 31 per cent, loss in output. He advocated delay in the matter'of the reduction of hours for two years, in order to devise mitigatory measures. He condemned individual ownership as wasteful, and advocated collective pvoduction.-AuS.-N./S. Cable Assn.
