REPORT OP LONDON COMMITTEE; . The report of the chairman of the London committeo of the New Zealand Red Cross, dated December 19, was read at yesterday's meeting, and is as follows: "Since we last met' I have received a cablegram from the president of the New Zealand Red Cross executive making inquiry as to our probable requirements in respect of money aud goods. January ,'il; Broeton, February 4; Ifornchui'ch, February .25; Oatlands. February 25: Torquay, March 11; Brighton Officers' Convalescent Home, March' 18: Brighton Nurses' Convalescent Home. March 25; No. 3 General, Codford, April 9: No. 2 General, Walton-on-Thames. in May.

"You will see from the statement of receipts and expenditure for the month of November, that our balance to credit on November 30 was .C 15.001 13s. 2d., and about .£IO.OOO is still due to'us out of the £40,000 already asked for. The exnenditurc for the month includes .-C-JSG for medical equipment. This somewhat large sum is nxnjnined by til's .fact that it includes ,£212 for Esco wheeled chairs, and i!2'2fi for onen-nir shelters for the tubercular hospital in Devon-.- T have received from Lord Ranfurly a sum-of tf.2W0.1-fs ■Id-, being.the balance of the funds in his hands sent to him from New Zealand, and which he has used to provide a money grant,for the nurchasn of fruit, "tc.. for ships returning to New. There are commitments apainst it to the extent of .£IOO, which will have to lie met. .

"An application has been made for the installation of a kinma at Oatlands Park, and General liiclmrdwh has been consulted..as to the advisability nf proseeding with .the work. His reply lias not. yet been received, and f suggest you should leave the'matter to the Red Cross executive.

"A number of eases of cake have hern received .from New Zealand, and lfl eases have been distributed, among the New Zealand hospitals and ' convalescent homes as ail addition to .the Christmas fare. The usunl distribution of Red Cross goods has proceeded on the usual lines. .

Colonel Fa rices and Mr. J. Sinclair Thomson have tendered their resignation as members of the committee—tlieoi'c on giving up the post nf D.M.S., the other on his return to New 'Zealand. Colonel Bee':, the new D.M.S., has accepted the position of. hnn. advisory- member, in "lace of Colonel Perkcs.'
