The train passed over him, and ho was killed instantly. • I' a Ppeirs that'the lad had visited Wellington along with a party of schoolchildren to see the picture of the German naval surrender screened. He was returning, with the others, under the cara of Messrs. C. N. Ilaslam and E. King, masters at the Main School, Petone. It is alleged that ho had left the party and had gone to another carriage before he made his fatal attempt to quit tlia moving train. An inquest will be held at Petone to. day. . ■
