MOTOR-CAR COLLIDES WITH TRAIN
A WOMAN SERIOUSLY INJURED,
. By Telcsraph—Press Association. Hokitika, March 12. A serious accident happened at the Hokitika railway and traffic bridge this afternoon. ' When a train from Ross was apnroaching Hokitika, a car driven by Ti's. W. J. Butler, with Mrs. A. E. Gregory as passenper, met the train head on. The train was fast pulling up. W>en a collision appeared to lie inevitable Mrs. Gregory jumped cut, receiving a bad injury to her head and her riglt. arm being badly crushed above the elbow, Mrs. Butler, who remained in the car, was uninjured, the car being pushed back by the engine. Only the steeringgear was damaged. The condition of Mrs. Gregory is very serious. m
