Tripn, chairman of the Advisory Board of the Federation of New Zealand Patriotic Societies War Relief Societies"One eighty-four wives sailed by Athfnic, many others following. Strongly advise steps being taken provide suitable temporary accommodation on arrival pending permanent arrangements by husbands. Suggest also similar action at other ports. Suggest confer with Minister Defcnce." Copies of tho cablegram have been forwarded to tho Minister of Defence and to the Mayors of tho ports where tho Athenic is likely to call.
