SALE OF WAIPUNA ESTATE. , There was a largo and representative attendance of the farming community at Everybody's Theatre, Hastings, on Saturday morning last, when Messrs. Hoadley, Soa. and Stewart, Ltd., in conjunction with Do Pelichot, M'Lood, and Co., Ltd., submitted to auction the lato E. B. Williams's Waipuna Estate, comprising 7000 acres of pastoral hill country, subdivided into iive blocks. Competition was brisk throughout, and all tho lots wero sold under the hammer as follow:— Lot 1. ""Waipuna," 2070 acres, with homestead buildings, to E. D. Coupe!', Havelock North, at .£l7 per acre. Lot 2, "Hantnngata," 850 acres, to J. U. Boesc, Dannevirke, at i!2O ss. • per aero. Lot 3, "Atapuku," . 815 acres, to E. O. Nilsson, Edonham, at .£1!) 10s. per acre. Lot 4, "Castle," 1015 acres, to B. Shadbolt. Clive, at -Cl 7 per acre. Lot 5, "Springbush," 1325 acres, to E. T. Wilder. Hastings, at .616 per aero. -. The total sales realised ■ .6118,315.
