RECEPTION ARRANGEMENTS. Councillor W. H. P. Barber presided. The Press were not. admitted. All that could bo gathered was that preliminaries, as to procedure were discussed, and that the reception would be mainly in tho shape of demonstrations on tho harbour on the arrival of the vessel, and a- grand serenade to the men during the evening. An offer of assistance w-i« received from tho Wellington Savage C'lub, and the effort of the Indies of the Government 'Departments was mentioned. •' There nii'ghc also bo a displav of fireworks in the evening As nothing definite could be ascertained ns to which s-teanicre woxild be available for the demonstration, it was decided to hold another meeting; in the Mayor's room, at 3.15 p.m. on Monday, when it is hoped tlmt n definite programme will be ar-. ranged. , • • , The Port Nieliolson .Yacht Club and the Motor-Boat Club are being invited to lake part, and their representatives are lieing invited to attend -Monday's meeting- ■' '
