TRENTHAM RIFLE MEETING
The arrangements for the championship rifle meeting at Trentham are definitely fixed. The meeting will start at 8.30 a.m. oil Tuesday and continue till the following Saturday, the first day being devoted to service matches. The range will be open fflV practice on Monday, when rifles, ammunition, and targets will be available. The staff appointed to carry out the meeting are as follow; Chief Executive Officer and Camp Commnndant, Colonel R. J. Collins, C.M.G.; Superintendent Range Officer, Colonel R. Hughes, V.D.; Camp Adjutaht, Major Wallingfonl, M.C.; Camp Quartermaster, Captain J. H. Boon; Statistical Officer, Captain Felto'i; secretary, Major V. Dunne; range officers, Colonel Cresswell, Major Doull, Major Batten, Major Earltrop, Captain Blytlie, Captain Harkness, Lieutenants Fletcher, King, Evans, Stevenson, win, Snaddon, Magill, and Cooke. The programme of matches comprises a series of four service matches and a service championship, a series consisting of seven matches and the rifle championship match (Killer's prize), and a champion teams' match, open to teams of fivo men from any unit; with four special aggregate matches, completes the list. As the Defence Department has now control of tins' D.R.A. no private trading is permitted 011 the grounds, _ Infringement. of this rule will cause immediate expulsion of the offender. '
