At a meeting of the potato-growers tonight: the-Government's action in niacin.;? an ■am.bai'go on export was considered. The general opinion was against the step, unless the Government undertook to guarantee a reasonable price. The following resolution was carried: —"That this meeting: gtrcngly urges the immedinte removal of the embargo on the export of potatoes, or otherwise to fix a price equivalent to the prices ruling in Australia."
