A quiet wedding was solemnised on March-i at the- residence of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. G. Charteris, of Mnngatoro, the contracting parties being their second daughter, Annie, to Mr. G. T. Clarke, 1 of Sarringworth, England. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a frock of white crepe de chine, and carried a shower bouquet of white roses and asters. The' bridesmaid, Ulisß Mary'Charteris,.sister of the bride, wore a white silk frock, with pale pink hat, and carried a bouquet of pink and white asters. Mr. ,T. V. Castles (cousin of the bride), recently returned from the front, carried out tho duties of b?st mail. The .bridegroom, also a returned soldier (having enlisted with tho Main Body), taw long service on Gallipoli and in Franco. The ceremony was conducted by the Rev. Mr. .-Grant.

At Hastings, Miss Elepetli Irene Innes, younger daughter of tho late John Innes, purveyor,- Invercargill, wa9 married to Dr.. Thomas Watenvorth-, dental surgeon. ymmirmt son of the late T. Waterworth, of- Napier. The bride, who wan liven away by her brother,. Mr. Gordon Tnne=, wore a travelling costume c-f miotic cloth, with vest of oisean blue and a hat of pedal straw, .loireau blue, lined with mastic, and trimmed with nendo ribbon and tinv mount. She was nttend«d p.i bridesmaid by her niece; Miss Nancy Paslev.
