At a recent meeting of dairy farmers in Pahiatua complaint was made regarding the storage of cheese in the Pipitea shed, Wellington, this not being a ocoi stove. At the monthly meeting of the Young Women's Christian Temperance Union at Palmcrston North tho following offers were elected:—.Corresponding, secretary, Miss Rowlands; recording secretary, Miss Ratidell; newspaper reporter, Miss Waters. The question of clubs in connection with the union was discussed, and it was eventually decided to establish a First Aid, Physical Drill, and Glee Clubs. The hope was expressed that the innovation won,ld hcip to popularise tho union. Hit was announced that Mr.' Wissman, late of the Awapuni Camp, had consented to act as instructor io the first aid class.
