PRESENTATION OF PRIZES. The prize? awarded' to pupils of St. Mark's Cliureh School wore presented bv Mrs. Sprott, wife of the Bishop of Wellington. The prizes should have been awarded at 'the close of last year, but owing to the.epidemic this .could not 'be done. Prior to the prize distribution an entertainment was given ' by.' the pupils, the following being the programme:— Pianoforte duet, Maisie and Marjorie Oakes; song, Thelma Richardson; danco ("Spider"), Sinclair Breen; recitation, Merle Howe;,6ong, Phyllis Martin;dance ("Sunbeam"), Rawinia Wortlcy; song, Willie Williams; song, Ernest M'Donald; song, Nellie Amies. The prize list was as follows:—Dux, (gold medal), Rene Beckway; nest to dux, Dorothy Wablersj: medal presented by Bishop for Scripture, Nellie Amies; medals for Scripture, Ngaire Williamson, 1, Hilda Clift, 2. Standard Vl.—Arthur Bullon; Hazel Davies, neatness; Thelma Richardson, composition; Marie Empson end Marjorie Coster, sewing. Standard V—Daphne Wilkijson and Charlico Longlmrst, equal, 1; Dorothy limes, improvement; Diilcie Allen and Muriel Staples, sewing. Standard IV.—lrene Kent, 1; Connie Pye, 2; Cushla Purdie, improvement; Elaine' Clark, improvement; Rita Hobson, sewing. Standard lll.—James Lewis, 1; Edward Lewis, neatness; Marjorie Oakes, 2; Doris Howe, Daisy Vickers, and .Margaret Davison, improvement. Standard ll—Nora Starkey, 1; Nora Starkey, sewing; Dorothy Wood, writing; Jean Taylor, 2. Standard I.—May Wilson, 1; Bobbie Purdie, 2; Harry Underwood, improvement; May Wilson. 6ewing.
