\Y • . The annual' meeting of the Miramar Golf Club was held at the Chamber of Commerce on Friday, when there were about fifty .members present. In the absence of tho president (Mr. J. P. Firth, the captain (Mr. C. E. Richardson) occupied the chair., The chairman described the work carried out during the year, and commented on the very satisfactory state of the club's finances. Officers for the ensuing year were elected as follow:—Patron, His Excellency the Governor-General; president, Mr. J". P. Firth; vice-president, Mr. C. E. Richardson; captain, Mr. M. J. Crombie; com- , nuttee, Messrs. H. W. Clouston, S. Gambrill, W. E. Hay-MacKenzie, A. E. Mabin, H. Page, and 0. J. Wilson; hon. auditor, Mr. E, A. Diddle, The appoint- | merit of a secretary and treasurer. was left to the committee. ' The club decided to recognise the services ■of the late treasurer (Mr. W. E. A. Gill) by making him an honorary life member of the club. Votes of thanks were accorded to the committee, tho auditor, the treasurer, and secretary for the good work done during the, past year.
