9KARORI CLUB. The first match of the C.A.C. competition took place on Saturday afternoon last, under weather conditions unfavourable to high scoring. Tho conditions of the first match were ten shots at 500 and GOO yards, and many who registered a good -core at the first range found themselves in trouble at the 600 yards range, and consequently scores were considerably below the average The best scores of the day were registered bv Rifleman W. Skegg with 80 points, and President W. Judd with 79 points. The 6ec ond match for the competition will be fired on Saturday afternoon next, over ranges of 300, 500, and 600 yards.
