v ANNUAL MEETING.

The annual meeting of the New Zealand Master Printers' Association was held yesterday in the New Zealand Employers' Rooms. There were present:Sir.- J. Willis, H. V- Duigan, and George North (\Vaiiganui), P. Bond (Nelson), R P. Fumess (Blenheim), F. l'irani (Folding*. 1 , . C. List and -\t C. AYeston (New Plymouth , A J. Beime and E. C. Ferguson, C. M. Banks, and H, J. Meyer. The chairman (Mr. J. Gamble), in addressing the delegates, expressed gratin"cation that the war r.ad come to a conclusion durin? the year, and referred to the great difficulty that had been experienced in conducting the printing business during the continuance of Hostilities. Difficulties still existed, ■and the future was far from being clear ot troublesome problems. Any expectation that the price of paper and other maten,Ms would fall had not been reallseu. air. Gamble referred to. arbitration and conciliation matters so far as they f affected the printing .trade, and urged the exercise of a wise patience on the part ot 1 aders on both sides, so that a minimum offriclion would take place. Mr, Gamble also briefly referred to the. matter of apprenticeship and technical training and i other matters of interest to the trade. I A largo amount of business, connected with the work of the association was transacted, included in winch was a very exhaustive paper upon business methods prepared by Mr. N. M'Robie and Mr. P. W. Jones, of Auckland.
