KARORI BOROUGH COUNCIL
The. fortnightly meeting of the Karori Borough Cnuncil was held last evening, the Mnyor (Mr. B. G. H. Burn) presided,' and there were present' Councillors A. Hamilton. W.. Skpgfr. ,T. Henderson, R. T. Pell, and W. G. Brodnoek.
A letter wiw ' received from the secretary of Hie Mangnhao Hydro-Electric Power League, stating that the Minister of Public Works would visit the site of the power worts on Friday, and that it had been definitely decided to entertain him at a smoke concert at Shannon in tha evening, and requesting the council to name, the delegates who will attend the function. The council decided not to fiend a delegate.' The Public )Vorks Committee recommended that the request of Mr. Randoll to erect a shed on the right-of-way on .Toll 'Road be granted, on condition that he pays ss. (i year as a nominal ground rent, and that the work be done to the. satisfaction of the borough engineer.— 'J'hia was agreed to.
