WELLINGTON CHORAL UNION
■ V ANNUAL MEETING^ : The annual meeting of the Wellington Chorn.l Union was held at St. John's Church Schoolroom last evening, Mr. K. A. Wright, M.P., presiding. There were about sixty members of the union present. ■ ■' In moving the adoption of the annual report (already published in The Dominion) the chairman congratulated the union upon a very successful year, and also on its very satisfactory financial position. • -. ■ • Mr. A. L. Wilson seconded the motion, and agreed that the union had had a very successful year, and trusted that during the present year the union would receive still more support from the general public. The splendid work of the •union certainly deserved it. The annual report and balance-sheet were adopted. The following officers were elected for the ensuing: year:—Patrons:—His Excellency Lord Liverpool, the Bight Hon. W. F. Massey. Prime Minister, and Sir Robert Stout; president, Mr. A. L. Wilson ; vice-presidents, His ' Grace Archbishop Redwood, Rev. Dr.' Gibb, Jlis Lordship Bishop Sprott, and Mr. G. Shirtcliffe; conductor. Mr. H. Temple White; accompanist. Mi? 3 D. Jfills; secretaiy, Mr. TV. E. Caklow; auditor, Mr. C. D. Morpeth; assistant secretary, Mr. E. A. Tanner; solicitor, Mr. A. W. Blair; treasurer, Mr. W. H. Chitty; librarian, Mr. J. E. Perry; committee, Messrs. P. B. Young, S. G. Hameton, E. P. Hay, J. R. Burley, andW. J. Chnrtres. A vote of thanfcs to the retiring committee and to the chairman concluded the business.
