There is every indication that the present outbreak of influenza will likoly equal tho Octolier epidemic, which resulted in 150,000 deaths. Hundreds of fresh cases aro hourly reported, the doctors are over-worked, and there is a great shortage of nurses. Tho outbreak in the Souith of Ireland continues to spread, with an alarmingly high deathrate. - Some of'the doctors are complaining of thn scarcity of whisky and brandy. They assert that more spirits would save thousands of lives. The victims include Mr. Tom Ball, tho international golfer.—"The Times.
