The Petone Railway Workshops was tho scene of two presentations yesterday. Tho first was to Mr. J. Arrowsmith, who is retiring from tho Government Service on superannuation after 29 years' service;' Mr. R. Kirk, ncting-foreman, on behalf of t!i.e recipient's fellow-work-men, presented Mr. Arrowsmith with a silver-mounted umbrella and travelling ' bag for his wife. In making the presentation, the" speaker mentioned tho good-will and 03teeni in which Mr. Arrowsmith was held, and his long and faithful service-to .the Department. Mr. Arrowsmith-suitably replied. Tho second presentation was to Mr. J. Cairns, of the fitting shop, who is leaving the service to bettor his position. Sir. T.
