MOKE BUILDING ACCOMMODATION. •> By Teleetapli.—Special Correspondent. Palmerston North, February 19. Some little timo ago the committee of tbo West Coast and Mauawntu A. and P. Association decided that more accommodation was required on the showgrounds at Palmerston North. On the occasion of various shows, ram .fairs, etc., rooms provided havo been quite inadequate for holding the many meetings which coincide with such fixtures. The proposal now is ft) erect a suitable building on the show grounds containing committee- and other club rooms, and to this end it was decided to solicit eontribn- ! tions. The invitation 'has been so heartily responded to that when the committee last met it was announced that already over <£20fl0 had been subscribed. Mrs. Walter" Johnston, of "Highden," has contributed .6250; Messrs. J. Goring Johnston, Akera Bros., \Y. l'\ Jacob,--A. L. Wheeler, G. Tanner, J. P. M'Kelvie, Short aiuL Sons, Ltd.. and Ernest Shorb, .£IOO each; Messrs. 11. L. Levin, S. B. Lancaster, A. Sutherland, and B. Tavcrner, .i'so each. There are a nrnnbar of smaller subscriptions. The list is not yet closed further donations being required in order to carry out tho work.
