INTEREST IN PARIS AT THE RESULT.
(Rec. February 19, 7.41 p.m.) Paris, February 17. The Council is interestedly watching the elections in German Austria, where the : dominant party favours inclusion with Germany. The Frenoh-Press strongly opposes this solution, foreseeing it to be greatly to the advantage of Germany. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. UNION WITH CZECHOSLOVAKIA ADVOCATED. New York, February 15 The Vienna correspondent of the "Chicago News" interviewed Herr Georg Gunther, head of the largest Austrian mining and finance ooiupany, who said: "Austria cannot remain alone. She deesnot produce enough food and raw n.aterials. She should not join Gevmany, because Germany would send us manufactured goods while our need is raw materials.
