THE JUGO SLAVS
DEFINITE ACTION BEING TAKEN. By Telegraph.—Press Association, Auckland, February 29. Definite action is now being taken by the authorities"against the Jugo Slavs who have been defying the alien service regulations. During the Inst 'few weeks a number have been interned, and this policy will be continued so long as these aliens ret'use to obey the law, which requires of them national service. Notwithstanding the arrests, the position in Tegard to Jugo Slav objectors remains very much as before. Most of those who struck at Paeroa have returned to work, but throughout the province a large proportion of the Jugo Slavs who have beenabsent without leave from works where they were employed are still defying the authorities,
