THE RUSSIAN PROBLEM
INVITATION TO THE GOVERN. MBNTS RENEWED. (Rec. February 18, 10 p.m.)
Paris, February IC. The Allies are face- to face with bank-, ruptcy in the Russian policy. They decided yesterday to-renew the invitation to all the Russian Governments to meet and negotiate, but with a time limit of about a week in which replies must ee made. The meeting-place is not material, but it is believed that'Prinkipo Island has been discarded, It has become a name of embarrassing memories. The Allies could compel the recalcitrant Russian Governments to tome to b«el by withdrawing their armies. This may be the next move, but it is being opposed as riioaning a triumph for the Soviets, —United Service. QUESTION OF MILITARY .INTERVENTION. (Rec. February 19, 1.40 a.m.) Paris, February 17. Renewed pressure is being exerted on the War Council for immediate intervention jin Russia. The French are urging military action against the Bolsheviki on a large scale. The Americans continue their opposition to tho military policy.—Reuter.
BOLSHEVIK LEADERS QUARRELLING OVER THE INVITATION.

Helsingfors, February 16. The ..Bolshevik leaders continue to quarrel violently in reference to the acceptnnce of the invitation to the Prinki|jo Conference. Lenin, at the' last meeting of tho Moscow Soviet, oponly warned them that tho Commission was going to sninsh unless fresh methods were adopted. Ho eaid:. "We shall lose nothing by attending the conference."— "Tho Times."
