SECOND DIVISION LEAGUE
I NOT TO BE DISBANDED. The following is an extract from a iirI'oular sent to Second Division Leagues and Second Division League members on the various repatriation boards and committees, by Mr. C H Chapman, secretary of the national executive of the league:— "Inquiries have come to hand from several leagues as to our future activities. 'This matter we discussed at a meeting of the national executive recently, and the general opinion was that we should not be in too great a hurry to disband. From time to time, the league is of great assistance to soldiers and. their dependants in obtaining pensions, and, in- getting .various*: grievances remedied? In some respects the Pensions Act requires amendment, and it was thought the league might have valuable influence on the work of repatriation. Where our members have been appointed to local repatriation boards, ilocal leases must keep together to assist in this matter. vOur work in the past has been very successful, and no doubt the spirit which actuated the members in their efforts for soldiers dependants will cause them to whole-heartedly throw themselves into the work of .repatriation, Repatriation to be sucessful must have the co-opera-tjon of citizens generally. Our RepatBoard _ members should report from time to time to their leagues, and tho members should be invited to give their representatives any suggestions which may be helpful in this great work. Ttis : quite possible that unless this problem is properly handled a sreat amount of suffering due to dislocation of industry and unemployment will be caused."
