' New demands covering country hotels , in the following licensing districts have been filed bv the Wellington District Hotel, Club, and Restaurant Workers , Union:—Waipawa, ' I'ahiatua,' Waimarino, Manawatu. Otaki, Wairarapa, Wa- , ngaiiui, t'almerston North, Feilding, Napier, and llawke's tiny. Sittings of the . Conciliation Council have been arranged for Wanganui (March 1), Palmerston North (March 5), Napier (March •"), and for the other districts (March 11). Con'siderable increases in .rates'of pay are requested, and improved condition's are asked for oil round. It is, suggested that the hours of duly shall be worked within a margin of thirteen hours in any one day, "meal tiuia" being included.
