ADDITIONAL REGULATIONS. | Tho following supplementary regula- , tions in respect to the issue of service chevrons have been approved:- ° In the case of Imperial troops, the ' term "overseas"' weans anywhere outsule tho United. Kingdom, and men of the overseas forces commissioned into the ,i Imperial service ■ cease to count; service ' away from the Dominion towards the " award of chevrons from date of being ' commissioned. Thereafter they are en- t titled .to count service for the award of V chevrons only in respect of service out- J side.the United Kingdom. ' Service on, hospital ships and auibu- " lance transports renders an individual £ eligible for the award of chevrons, and " such,periods of service may be coui.ted 1 towards tho qualifying periods for addi- " tional chevrons. The whole period dm-- P ing which an individual is borne on the » strength-of a ship counts, but the per- t> iods after disembarkation in New 2!ea : e land' before reioining the ship, or be- '£ tweon charters, will not bo included. j' Only periods-.actually spent m prison |j or detention are to be excluded when cal- J dilating the service for the award of i chevrons. In the case of men under- e going •' field punishment No. 1 or "I, ti periods so spent are not to be excluded. I; r Service in Allied armies prior to join- V ■ing the N.Z.
