OFFICIAL HINT TO PEOPLE . WRITING HOME. 1 The Acting-Postmaster-GeJieral (the Hoi;. W. D. S. Mac Donald) has receivedadvice from the Headquarters in London of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force that it is hoped that all men of the Force who left the Dominion in 1916 will ■embark on their return'by the end of April; 1917 men by the end of May; and 1918 men by the end of June; accompanied by a request that;correspondence, more particularly parcels and papers.-be restricted accordingly. ■ The time now, occupied in , the transit of letters between-New Zealand and the United Kingdom is about forty-five days, and of parcels and papers about two months. The New Zealand correspondents of soldiers will save themselves and the. Post Office , labour and expense by taking care not to post mail matte* that cannot reach London before the addressees leave for the Dominion.
