OBITUARY

MR, GEORGE WARREN

The sudden death occurred yesterday afternoon of Mr. George Warren, officer-in-charge of the Government Buildings. Deceased, who was 54 years of age, was the eldest son of Mrs. C. Warren, of 9 Bidwill Street, and of tho late ColourSergeant W. Warren, of the 65th Regiment, at one time connected with the Defence Stores in Buckle Street. For some years the late' Mr. Warren had charge of the Public Trust Office in Lainbton Quay, and was appointed officer in charge of the Government Buildings on the retirement of Captain Hennah. Deceased had suffered from heart trouble for some time, and his demise was not altogether unespected. He was a brother-in-law of Brigadier-General G. S. Richardson, Officer in Charge of Administration, N.Z.E.F., and a brother of Messrs. A. und J. Warren, of Wellington, R. Warren, of Nelson, and F. Warren, of the Defence staff, Auckland.
