' A Maori named Kani Te Hau was charged in the Supreme Court to-day with the attempted murder of a single woman named Green, at Dargaville, on July The prosecution alleged that the accused entered Mis£ Green's bedroom and tried to cut her throat with a knife. Miss Green was severely cut on the cheek, and after a struggle became unconscious. The case for the defence will be hea r ' 5 to-morrow.
