PROTESTANT POLITICAL ASSOCIATION
The annual meeting of the Pelonc group of the Protestant' Political .issociation was held on Wednesday evening in St. Augustine's Hall. Mr C. P. lirockelbnnk prc.-ided over a good attendance of members. '-I'no annual report and balance-sheet wns read and adopted, favourable comment being mode on the work of the society by the oliicers. Tho retiring secretary (Mr. W. B Oough) was congratulated on the manner in which ho had kept the buuks ami tho good feeling kept in the group, and n-grot was expressed that he ';ou!d not sen his way clear to stand fnr re-election. The visitors—Dr. Mindo, Hon. Willium .liiirnsliiiw, and Major M 'jNaught—ml- _ dres-ed tho meeting on (he progress of 111.! association, each 0112 commenting on the great progress that had been made during the short period it had been in existence. Mr. W. F. Ashman was elected president of tho group for the ensuing year.
