CONAN DOYLE ' PRAISES AUSTRALIANS AND NEW ZEA LANDERS. London, January 27. At the Australian nnd New Zealand luncheon Sir Arthur Conan Doyle delivered a panegyric on the great deeds of tiie Australians and Neiv Zealanders in the war. He said tlifl Australians liad never been in a, greit disaster, but had twice saved the situation when tho position vras most despente, at Amiens and Hazebrouck. No division had a finer record than the New Zealand Division. It was in the line under fire from the timo it came to tho assistance of the Fifth Amiy in March till tho armistice wnsi signed.
