MILITARY EDUCATIONAL SCHEMES
TWENTY THOUSAND AUSTRALIANS RECEIVING INSTRUCTION. (Rec. January 30, 8.10 p.m.) London, January 28. Bishop Long, in a paper at the C'olouial Institute, detailed the military educational schemes. Twenty thousand Australians are now putting in five hours daily, the tuition varying from elementary English to classes of university standing. General Birdwood, who presided, warmly eulogised the services of , Bishop Long and the teachers,—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
