PASSENGER DISAPPEARS IN MID-OCEAN

During tho voyage of the Niiisarafrom Sydney, a passenger named John Boyd Evitt disappeared the night before the ship arrived at Auckland. Evitt was a married man and a gunsmith, belonging to Sydney. He was coming to visit relatives in Auckland. Electors, of Onslow are reminded that public meetings to 'discuss the question of amalgamation of Onslow widi Wellington will be held at Kaiwarni tonight, Khandallah to-morrow night, and on Thursday night a meeting will be held at Ngaio.
