COMPETITIONS SOCIETY
The musical 'and' elocutionary competitions -which were to have- been held in November, last,. b.ut wero unavoidably postponed on account of the influenza epidemic, wilhnow commcnce at the Town Hall on Thursday, February 13. In the principal sections the judges will be Mr. Harold Gregson, music; Mr.' J. F. Montague, elocution; Mr. Mackenzie Forbes, national dancing; and Mr. Bert Royle, fancy dancing; and Mrs. A. M. Montague-will be the official accompanist. The entries totalled 1535 from all parts of the Dominion, and the time-table as arranged ■will be adhered to. A few membership tickets are still obtainable, but early application is necessary to secure these.' It has been decided that all tickets issued for the November dates • will still be available for.use' on. the postponed dates.- / "7
