DRIVERS' DISPUTE

■ , CONFERENCE ENDS 'WITHOUT .SETTLEMENT.' The conference between' the employers of drivers all over the Dominion and representatives, of the New Zealand Drivers' Federation concluded without any settlement of the dispute having been reached. Tho unions asked for the conference to consider proposals made by the unions for v hew agreement. These proposals the federation delegates submitted to the employers, and the employers said that they would not accept them. After the conference dispersed, it is understood, the employers forwarded a written offer to the federation, and it .will now be for the unions to accept or reject that offer.
