v RESTORATION OF-PRE-WAR SERVICE SOUGHT. By TeleirraDh—Press Association; ' Christchurch, January 21' Mr. J. M'Combs, M.P., sent the following telegram, to the Minister of Railways: "At a meeting of the Lyttelton Borough Council last night the question of Sunday trains was discuss-; ed, and the co-operation of other local bodies was asked for to secure the restoration of the pre-war service. Iwill personally undertake to! find suit-, able men to do' the work if your Department is unable to do so. Citizens who accepted the statement that the curtailment of the railway service was necessary in the war period.are strongly of the opinion that this service should now be restored."
