Tlie Point Elizabeth and Liverpool State collieries' employees, at a meeting of the union held on December 17, decided: "That this union endorses tho demands made I)}' tho New Zealand Locomotive Engineers, Fireme.i, and Cleaners' Association for an increase in wages' and overtime rates, and urgo the Government to at once take steps to comply with the union's demand, as we are of the opinion that the increases asked for are very reasonable under present conditions. '
