INCOME TAX PAYABLE
FEBRUARY 5 THE DUE DATE. The Commissioner of Taxes, announces in this week's Gazette that income tax-and special war tax will be payable on February 51 The liability to pay is not suspended by any objection. The tax should bo paid on or before the prescribed date, and any refund necessary will be made later. If not paid additional'tax will accrue.' The demands for taxpayers other than those indicated below will be posted from the office of the Commissioner pf Taxes about January 29, 1919. 'The Commissioner adds that owing to the serious interference with the work of the Department caused by the influenza epidemic a delay of some days will take place in the issue of tho demands for the following: Individuals whose surnames commence with tho letters C, I, J, K, Mc, N, 0, P, T, W.
In these cases o.new date will be fixed as provided by Section 127 of the Land and Income Tax Act, 1916, and shown on the demands. Additional tax will accrue twenty-one days thereafter.
