REPATRIATION
DISTRICT OFFICERS APPOINTED. -'r;Two\" district .repatriation officers have been appointed by the Repatriation Board. > Sergeant. Frank Henry Burbush has been appointed for Auckland district. Sergeant Burbush/ is ' a returned soldier, having returned' to this country in July last, ■ and taken his discharge. Since then he has been Officer in Charge of the Returned Soldiers' Information Department. Before he became a soldier, Sergeant Burbush was a journnllst, on the staff of the- Auckland "Herald." His specialty was sport and athletics. ■'~, ' . • » '

"He : was in South Africa at the outbreak of war. -First he served with the Government troops through the rebellion, and . then in. the campaign which led to tho ■ surrender of German South-West Af- , nca. After that campaign he returned to see his people in $ew Zealand, and joined up here with the New Zealand Expeditionary Force. Ho returned to this country, wounded, in 1917. Late-' ly he has been temporarily employed with the Munitions and Supplies Department. •
Appointments have been' offered to two gentlemen in the Wellington and Canterbury districts, but, the suggested appomtees are not yet able to say >wnether they will accept the positions
